FAMILY FUN AT THE RACES

Hamilton Park Racecourse’s hotly anticipated family racenight returns this July, as the award-winning venue has announced the line-up for this summer’s fun-filled extravaganza!

X Factor star and runner-up Scarlett Lee is set to headline the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation Family Racenight on Saturday 13 July. The starlet, who was mentored by Simon Cowell during the show, will take the stage by storm with a special performance after racing which is sure to wow racegoers.

Joining Scarlett on the bill will be leading tribute act Little Mix Magic, who return to Hamilton Park to perform the girl band’s popular hits having firmly established themselves as fan favourites across Scotland. As the sun sets on the fun-filled family event, Capital Scotland’s Garry Spence will be spinning the decks with some of the best music mixes.

Alongside the live music, there will be an array of impressive free kids’ activities to keep everyone entertained from Segways and bungee trampolines to face painting and human table football plus much, much more, all included in the price of admission.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Won last year by the cast of Still Game, Hamilton Park’s famous kids’ fancy dress competition will be back with £250 cash for the winning costume as selected by the judges – the competition is open to all under 18s so it’s time to get creative!

Ashley Moon, Racecourse General Manager at Hamilton Park, said: “Our trio of fantastic family fixtures are always a highlight of the season. There’s something for everyone, from the thrill of the horses thundering along the track to the brilliant live music and huge selection of free kids’ entertainment.

“We’re eagerly awaiting the launch of our new season in May with Top Cat Window Blinds Family Raceday and there’s lots more exciting announcements coming soon for the rest of our season!”

This perfect night out for the whole family will get underway at 4pm. Tickets are priced from just £20 when booked in advance with free entry for under 18s. For more information on fixtures and tickets visit www.hamilton-park.co.uk or call 01698 283806.
