GLAM DE VEGA looks a horse with a bright future after his convincing success in the £25,000 feature race at Hamilton Park on Tuesday.

Sent off a very well-backed 4-6 favourite, Roger Varian’s Newmarket raider beat top-weight Empirestateofmind by a comfortable length and three-quarters in the Paycare Saving You Money Everyday Healthcare Scottish Trophy Handicap.

On his only mount of the day, Andrea Atzeni was content to track the pace before sending his partner alight passing the two pole and the race was effectively over soon afterwards.

Fresh from his recent breakthrough Group 1 success, Jason Hart made all the running in the Scottish Women In Technology Charity Restricted Maiden Stakes on Yorkindness, trained by Charlie & Mark Johnston.

Hawick-born Hart said: “She’s got ability and is tough too. She showed good form in a handicap last time and it’s good to get her head in front.”
