Azure Blue was a impressive winner of the Bet At racingtv.com Handicap at Hamilton Park under Paul Mulrennan.
The Michael Dods-trained filly, sent off 5-2 second favourite, fairly sprinted through the rain-softened ground to trounce Buckshaw Village by three and a quarter lengths.
A smiling Mulrennan said: “The ground didn’t seem to mater as she’s got a bit of class about her.”
Mulrennan had earlier struck on Yahtzee for Newmarket trainer George Scott in the Award Winning Hospitality At Hamilton Park EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.
He added: “She’s really nice and learning all the time. This was just her second run and she’s come on from her debut at Lingfield.”
Shahnaz sprung a 25-1 upset for Sam James and trainer Gemma Tutty in the Book Now And Save At Hamilton-Park.co.uk Handicap.
Tutty said: “This was always a lucky track for me when I was riding and I’m delighted as this is the first winner for these owners. She needed her mind made up for her but she should give everyone a lot of fun.”
