In 2026, Hamilton Park proudly celebrates its 100-year centenary, marking a century since first opening its gates on Bothwell Road in 1926.

Originally established to bring high-quality flat racing to the west of Scotland, Hamilton Park quickly made its mark. The opening fixtures drew in 40,000 racegoers, who enjoyed the stunning stands, thrilling races, and the unique buttonhook-shaped track.

Over the past 100 years, the Lanarkshire venue has grown into one of Scotland’s leading sporting and events destinations, known for thrilling racedays, live entertainment, weddings, and corporate hospitality, all set within a truly distinctive and historic venue.

Hamilton Park has unveiled a unique sculpture that has been commissioned in memory of the late Sir Ian Good in recognition of his immeasurable contribution to both Hamilton Park and Scottish Racing, as well as the racing industry as a whole, which comes following the dedication of the grandstand in his name in 2025.

SCOTTISH BAND TIDE LINES TO HEADLINE HAMILTON PARK'S 100 YEAR CENTENARY RACENIGHT

The racenight takes place on the same mid-July double fixture as Hamilton Park’s very first opening racedays in 1926, making the evening a centrepiece of the venue’s 100th anniversary season and promising to be one of the most memorable evenings in the Racecourse’s history.

Tide Lines, known for their anthemic indie folk melodies and three Scottish number one albums featuring tracks such as Far Side of the World and Heroes, will take to the stage following the final race.

Hamilton Park Celebrates 2025 Quality Assured Scheme Success

We are proud to share that Hamilton Park has been recognised in the 2025 Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme, with 14 racecourses across the UK achieving scores of 90% or higher for raceday experience.

Led by Racecourse Association (RCA) and independently assessed by global leaders AA Hotel and Hospitality Services, the scheme highlights our continued commitment to delivering an outstanding day at the races.
