RACING TV’s GORDON BROWN podcast racing preview for USAVE Utility Contracts Raceday

Iris Dancer is after a hat-trick of wins in the Usave Business Energy Specialist Fillies’ Handicap at Hamilton Park on Sunday.

Trained in Cumbria by Tristan Davidson, she faces a competitive field of rivals, including Giselles Izzy, who was only beaten a neck into second place twelve months ago.

Iris Dancer also won the six-furlong Class 4 contest in 2022 when she score by three and a quarter lengths in first-time blinkers.

“She seems to love running up a hill as she’s won six times at Hamilton and once at Carlisle,” Davidson said. “This is her trip, even though she’s had a few runs at five and seven furlongs and she’s been a little star for us.”

There is plenty of Scottish interest in the RacingTV.com Handicap with six of the nine runners trained north of the border.

Jim Goldie’s Shine On Brendan (4) and Daragh Bourke-trained Shahnaz (3) boast seven course wins between and they could well be involved at the business end again.
