STARS COME OUT FOR FAMILY X-TRAVAGANZA AT HAMILTON PARK

The parenting Holy Grail will be achieved at Hamilton Park this summer, with the leading venue’s spectacular Sunday Mail Highland Show Racenight promising the ultimate family day out.

Mums and dads can earn some serious brownie points with the kids on Saturday 15 July by treating them to a thrilling day full of action-packed activities, tons of fun, and some X-traordinary superstar guests to raise the excitement level to fever pitch.

X Factor stars Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, Honey G and Ryan Lawrie will take to the stage at the highly anticipated event, alongside premier tribute band Little Mix Magic. The all-star line-up will offer show-stopping performances throughout the day, keeping the party atmosphere going from 12pm until late for kids and adults alike.

Reggie ‘N’ Bollie stole the show in living rooms across the UK on the X Factor in 2015, with Lanarkshire’s own Ryan shooting to fame alongside rapper Honey G in 2016 on the hit ITV talent show. Glasgow-based Little Mix Magic was formed in tribute to the iconic winners of the long-running programme.

As well as busting a move and singing along to their favourite hits, families can enjoy a host of super cool Highland Show activities that kids big and small will love, with themed ‘zones’ created to keep the fun going all day long.

Highlights will include a petting zoo, pony rides, laser tag, bungee trampolines and a host of family-friendly games, including a coconut shy, hoopla, beat the goalie and Denver’s Den.

Clydesdale Horses and the Mordor Gun Dogs will be in attendance on the day, and visitors can also enjoy live falconry, sheep and duck herding, wood carving, a gauntlet assault course and a display of farming and road vehicles.

Following the day’s live racing action and entertainment, there will be a live DJ set from Capital FM.

Vivien Currie, Chief Executive at Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “After the massive success of our first Highland Show Racenight last year, we wanted to find a way of building upon this and making it even more appealing this year.  That’s why, as well as transforming the racecourse for another family extravaganza, we’ve also announced four fantastic acts to headline the event.  We’ve truly created a day out with the X factor for all the family to enjoy, and with free admission and activities for all under 18s again this year, it’s set to be one of the highlights of the Hamilton Park Racecourse calendar.”

The Sunday Mail Highland Show Racenight is part of the ground-breaking Super Saturday series, which launched with huge success last year. The concept, a first in UK racing, offers racegoers an unforgettable all-day experience with entertainment from 12pm followed by live evening racing.
