Jim Goldie has his eye on the pair of £25,000 feature races on the final fixture of the year at Hamilton Park. Geo, ridden by Lauren Young, is set to receive weight all round in the John Mackenzie And Hamish Macgregor Memorial Handicap over an extended mile. “It’s going to be soft but she showed she can handle those conditions when winning at Ayr nearly a fortnight ago,” Goldie said. “She has gone up a couple of pounds for that win and Lauren claiming 5lbs won’t do any harm. “I knew she also won at Ayr back in the spring but she’s been second three times at Hamilton this year already including when just beaten by a nose.” The opposition to Geo is headed by Good Morning Alex, who has a 5lb penalty for scrambling home by the minimum margin over course and distance eight days ago. There is also £25,000 up for grabs in the Barbara Ann Letham And Son Johnathan Memorial Handicap over five-furlongs. Goldie’s Jordan Electrics will be a popular choice to add to his ten course wins after an all-the-way victory a week ago although Tim Easterby-trained twelve-year-old Copper Knight showed plenty of spark when gaining his 14th career success at Chester recently. The final race of the South Lanarkshire venue’s centenary season is the Annual Members Of Hamilton Park Handicap. Sunnysideofdstreet catches the eye as she is the first course runner of 2026 for Joseph O’Brien, who has a strike-rate of 1-6 with his County Kilkenny raiders.
