Hamilton Park is delighted to reveal that Phoenix Utilities Ltd has signed up to a new partnership which will see them showcased as title sponsors of the racecourse’s most historic race meeting, the Lanark Silver Bell.

The newly named Phoenix Utilities Ltd Lanark Silver Bell Racenight takes place on Friday 27 August, with two races from the seven-race card supported by Phoenix Utilities Ltd, including the highly anticipated feature race of the day, the historic Lanark Silver Bell Handicap.

Phoenix Utilities are the multi utility provider of choice for the public and private sector across Scotland and the North of England. They can tailor their extensive design and construction experience to meet the specific requirements of each of their customers and are fully accredited in the design and construction of gas, water, electric, heat networks and electric vehicle charging solutions

Vivien Currie MBE, Chief Executive at Hamilton Park, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have Phoenix Utilities Ltd, one of the fastest growing and innovative multi utility providers across Scotland, join us as new sponsors. Historic racing is the focus of our last Friday evening meeting of the season with the Lanark Silver Bell the highlight of a great night’s racing. Kenny Nicol, CEO from Phoenix Utilities Ltd, added: “We are honoured to be sponsoring such a historic event and we are looking forward to a fantastic night’s racing, shared with clients and colleagues”

The Silver Bell is one of the most ancient Racing Trophies in Britain, many believing the Bell to have been gifted from King William ‘The Lion’ of Scotland in approximately 1165, which would make the trophy the oldest in the world.

Away from the track, legendary DJ George Bowie returns for another set of his exhilarating GBX Anthems after the night’s racing.

Gates open at 2.30pm with racing action getting underway at 4.35pm.

Early bird tickets are on sale now at www.hamilton-park.co.uk, starting from £20 for adults, saving £5 if booked before 20 August 2021.
