Moon and Murdoch to take the reins at the Lanarkshire resort

Ashley Moon and Fiona Murdoch will be the new leadership team at the Hamilton Park Resort following the announcement in December that Vivien Currie MBE, will step down to take up the role of Chief Executive of Ascot Racecourse.

The dual internal promotion, which takes effect from Monday 7 March, will see Ashley Moon appointed as Managing Director of Hamilton Park Racecourse whilst Fiona Murdoch has been appointed as Managing Director of the Hampton by Hilton Hamilton Park Hotel alongside her role as Group Finance Director for the Resort.

Sir Ian Good, Chairman of Hamilton Park said ‘I am very pleased to be able to announce the team who will lead Hamilton Park as we look to build on what has been the most successful period in the racecourse’s history.

Ashley and Fiona have played an integral part in the development of both the racecourse and the hotel, and are already Directors of the parent company. I am confident they will deliver further success across the Resort.’

Ashley Moon said ‘I am delighted to be given the opportunity to become Managing Director of Hamilton Park Racecourse having been part of the senior management team for a number of years. I am looking forward to the future challenges ahead, with preparations already well underway for an exciting and action-packed 2022 season.’

Fiona Murdoch continued ‘I am excited to be appointed as Managing Director of the Hotel alongside my role as Group Finance Director, and I look forward to working with the whole team across the Resort to deliver future success.’

Vivien Currie MBE added ‘I am very proud to be passing the leadership baton to two very well-equipped colleagues who I have seen grow and develop over the years. Hamilton Park Racecourse and Hotel will be in good hands.’
