Lanarkshire racecourse gets ready to open their gates for their biggest event of the season

It’s just over a week to go until Hamilton Parks’ biggest fixture of the summer, Cube Glass Ladies’ Night on Saturday 3 August, with an all-star line-up featuring JLS star Aston Merrygold, RuPaul’s Drag Race finalist Baga Chipz and a DJ set from TV and radio presenter Mark Wright all set to feature at the Lanarkshire venue.

Ladies’ Night at Hamilton Park has long been established as one of the premier fixtures in the Scottish racing calendar, with racegoers attending the event in their thousands to experience the wonderful blend of great racing and glamourous celebrity entertainment.

On the track, Jordan Electrics, owned by Brian Jordan Snr, Brian Jordan, Stephen Jordan and Nicky McConnell who own the Carfin-based electricians of the same name, is aiming to make history at Hamilton Park as he competes in the prestigious Class 2 Cube Glass ‘Soba’ Handicap Stakes. Jordan Electrics is a true course specialist having won four of his last five races at the Lanarkshire track, most recently taking the honours in the Scottish Stewards Cup on Friday 19 July, a race his Trainer Jim Goldie has always wanted to win. Victory in the Soba Handicap Stakes would solidify Jordan Electrics’ status as the winning most horse in Hamilton Park history, surpassing the current record of eight wins held by Hopes N Dreams, Diet and Economic Crisis.
