Capital FM’s breakfast dream team hit the shops to perfect their looks ahead of the most glamorous night of the year, Avia Signs Ladies’ Night at Hamilton Park Racecourse.

Fabulous fillies will descend on the legendary venue on Saturday 5th August, decked out in their most show-stopping outfits, and Des and Amy were keen to up their own glam-factor for the big night, hitting the shops at the event’s fashion partner, EK, East Kilbride, to get the perfect look.

The Duke, Hamilton Park’s mascot, was also on hand to give a yae or a ‘neigh’ to their outfit choices.

Ladies’ Night is set to be a jewel in the crown of the racecourse’s sparkling season, with a host of exciting activities, top racing and a series of heart-stopping performances in store.

Capital FM DJ & presenter Marvin Humes will headline the event with an amazing post-racing DJ set, while X-Factor winner Matt Terry, and fan favourite Jake Quickenden will thrill crowds with performances earlier in the day.

The glittering event will feature the Best Dressed Lady competition, hosted by Des and Amy, with £1000 cash, a £500 EK, East Kilbride gift card and more goodies going to the winner, who will be picked by a panel including heartthrob Jake.

Ladies can also enjoy the Moet and Chandon Champagne Bar, a new cocktail bar from The Anchor Line, live fashion shows from leading brands such as Coast, French Connection and M&S, plus an exclusive shopping marquee with the likes of Debenhams and EK, East Kilbride.

Vivien Currie, Chief Executive at Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “The countdown is truly on to our most glamorous night of the season, and every year gets better and better.

“The atmosphere on Ladies’ Night is just electric as style, glamour, shopping and music all come together to create an absolutely show-stopping event. Our performers, Jake, Matt and Marvin, will add an extra sparkle to proceedings, carrying the party atmosphere from afternoon into the night.

“The response we’ve had to this year’s line-up has been phenomenal, and we can’t wait to welcome ladies (and gents) to enjoy it all on Saturday 5th August.”

Ladies’ Night is part of the ground-breaking Super Saturday series, which launched with huge success last year. The concept, which is a first in UK racing, offers racegoers an unforgettable all-day experience with entertainment from 12noon followed by live evening racing.
