Hamilton Park Racecourse voted Best Small Racecourse in Scotland & The North

Hamilton Park Racecourse has been named the Best Small Racecourse in Scotland & The North by members of the Racegoers Club, the official supporters club for British Racing fans.

The award recognises the Lanarkshire venue for going above and beyond to ensure a great customer experience across five measured categories: viewing experience, facilities, food & beverage, atmosphere and value for money.

The win follows a stellar 2017 season at the racecourse, which saw record-breaking prize money and major investment to upgrade the venues facilities.

Vivien Currie, Chief Executive at Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “We always strive to be the best that we can be and not only is this recognition from the Racegoers Club a great honour, it has set the bar for the upcoming season.

“We have some fantastic action coming up both on and off the track, with the Silk Series weaving its way to the racecourse and household names like Heather Small and Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo taking to the stage.

“What’s more, we’ve invested a further £250,000 in our customer facilities ahead of the season launch in May, when we’ll be welcoming Scotland’s national chef Gary MacLean to the racecourse.

“You could say the bid to retain this award has already begun!”
