Fun-Filled Family Racenight this July

Press Release 06.03.2020

There’s something for everyone at Hamilton Park’s Family Racenight as the award-winning resort has announced the line-up for this summer’s fun-filled extravaganza!

X-Factor’s only ever winning boy band Rak-Su are set to headline this year’s event, which takes place on Saturday 11 July. The four-piece group consisting of Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland, Mustafa Rahimtulla and ‘I’m a Celebrity’ favourite Myles Stephenson will take to the stage for a special live music performance after the evenings racing.

Joining Rak-Su on the bill will be leading tribute act Simply Ariana, who will perform some of Ariana Grande’s most popular chart hits having become a firm favourite with fans across Scotland.

Alongside the live music, there will be an array of impressive free kids’ activities to keep everyone entertained throughout the evening, from Segways and bungee trampolines to face painting and VR gaming plus much, much more, all included in the price of admission.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Won last year by ‘Animal’ from The Muppet Show, Hamilton Park’s famous kids’ fancy dress competition will be back with £250 cash for the winning costume as selected by the judges – the competition is open to all under 18s so it’s time to get creative!

Ashley Moon, Racecourse General Manager at Hamilton Park said: “Our family-themed racedays are growing in popularity every year with our July evening being one of our highlights. There’s something for everyone, from the thrill of the horses thundering along the track to the brilliant live music and huge selection of free kids’ entertainment.

“We offer free entry to under 18s to all of our racedays which includes all of the kid’s activities and live music, making Family Racenight a real winner in the value for money stakes.”

As well as the incredible line-up of entertainment, there will be seven races on the evening with the highlight of the track action being the £14,000 feature race.

This perfect night out for the whole family will get underway at 4pm. Tickets are priced from just £20 when booked in advance with free entry for under 18s.
