Scottish singer/songwriter to perform his hit songs as Hamilton Park launches its search for up and coming stars.

Hamilton Park has today announced that singer/songwriter and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Cammy Barnes will perform at the South Lanarkshire resort at the USave Utility Contracts Raceday on Sunday 22 September, as part of their post-racing entertainment which will also include their very own talent show, with a huge £1,000 cash prize up for grabs to the lucky winner.

Cammy Barnes has fast become one of the Scottish music industry’s biggest independent acts – after his hit single ‘Bonnies Song’ – inspired by his daughter – skyrocketed to number one in the UK iTunes Charts in August, overtaking Calvin Harris, Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus to the top spot.

And the music doesn’t stop there with Hamilton Park confirming the return of their own “Hamilton Park’s Got Talent” contest which will be held for the first time in a decade. The stage will once again open to singers and performers of all ages with the entry process due to be launched later this summer with a massive cash prize on offer to the winner.

Ashley Moon, Racecourse Managing Director at Hamilton Park said: “We’re always delighted to welcome new Scottish talent to Hamilton Park and Cammy Barnes is sure to put on a great show as the head artist on an evening where we’re shining the light on fresh, local talent as part of our own search for a star.

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a hidden gem waiting to be discovered, Hamilton Park’s Got Talent is your chance to shine under the spotlight. So, start polishing your act, gather your confidence, and get ready to wow the judges and audience alike. We’ll be releasing further details on how to enter later in the summer, so watch this space!”

As well as the incredible line-up of entertainment, there is due to be seven action-packed races throughout the afternoon with the highlight of the racing action being the £10,000 USave Business Energy Specialists Fillies’ Handicap Stake.

Early Bird tickets for the Usave Utility Contracts Raceday on Sunday 22 September are on sale now from only £24.00, saving you £6 when booked in advance with free entry for under 18’s when accompanied by an adult.
