Iris Dancer is gunning to extend her modern-day record of wins at Hamilton Park in the Molton Brown Luxury Fragrance Fillies’ Handicap. Trained by Tristan Davidson, the Cumbrian raider has already got a remarkable twelve strikes to her name at the South Lanarkshire venue. “She’s won another three races at her favourite track this season so she’s had a pretty good year,” Davidson reported. “I’m not sure what to make of her last few runs and she could be maybe over the top for the season as she’s been on the go since the early spring. “She’s certainly loves coming up that hill and this race will tell us more. At the turn of the year she will be nine but I’d say she’ll have at least another season left in her.” In a deep-looking 6f dash, Iris Dancer faces strong competition from fellow course scorers Jannas Journey, Mae Amour, Thunderstorm Katie and Annie Edson Taylor. Phillip Makin-trained Impressor is another lover of Hamilton Park and he bids for a fourth track success in the Heineken Zero Drink Responsibly At Hamilton Park Handicap. The top weight was a close second at this fixture last year before going one better just 24 hours later. The card gets underway with current jockeys’ championship leader Billy Loughnane having the first of his four rides on Celtic Storm in the restricted maiden stakes. Flat racing’s new sensation hasn’t ridden since 2024 at a track where he has had twelve previous mounts without success. Pj’s Corner is the first course runner for Newmarket handler Dylan Cunha in the Hamilton Park Nursery Handicap. There could still be improvement to come from Tom Marquand’s mount, who has already bagged wins over the minimum trip at Leicester and Chepstow.
