Iris Dancer bids for a record-extending twelfth victory in the Rocca Restaurant & Ora Bar Hamilton Handicap. The mare, trained in Cumbria by Tristan Davidson, has already gained two wins at the South Lanarkshire venue this season. She carries the colours of the Auld Pals, a syndicate consisting mainly of local owners and all her wins have come over this six-furlongs.

“She knows the road up and down to Hamilton pretty well,” Davidson said. “She seems to enjoy coming up a hill and she’s very easy to train and a really straightforward horse to train.” Her rivals on this latest trip to her favourite course include Ingleby Archie, Not Me and Come On Over, last time winners at Nottingham, Chester and Doncaster respectively. There is also plenty of course and distance form on offer in the opening Hamilton Park Apprentice Handicap. Thunderstorm Katie, Thornaby Pearl, Ski Angel and Sixcor have all experienced wins over this five-furlong trip.
