JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Grounds Person
REPORTS TO: Grounds Supervisor
SALARY LEVEL: Subject to experience
HOURS OF WORK: Full time – 37.5 hours per week on an annualised basis covering additional hours for racedays as required.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hamilton Park are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Grounds Person to join our award-winning team of Grounds Staff. As part of our small but dedicated team, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the preparation of the track and grounds, to ensure the resort is presented to the highest standard.
Frequent tasks to include but not limited to:
- Strimming
- Repairing the track divots
- Gardening
- Tree maintenance
- Clearing leaves from lawns
- Mucking out and bedding stables
- Moving running rail
- Steam-cleaning/pressure washing
- Moving garden furniture
- Basic maintenance of racecourse machinery
